2024 Pilot FAQs

  • Coach to the Max is an AI-powered practice tool designed to help coaching students develop their skills. In this pilot, you’ll practice with AI personas aligned with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) framework, allowing you to build real-world coaching competencies.

  • The pilot's primary purpose is to gather feedback on whether this concept is useful, with the understanding that the technology is not yet 100% perfect but is improving every day. The secondary purpose is to find out what would make it more valuable.

  • This pilot is designed for North America, Canadian and United Kingdom coaches, leaders, instructors, and students, as well as new managers interested in exploring an AI-driven practice tool. It offers on-demand access to coaching simulations, helping you refine your skills through varied and realistic scenarios.

  • Currently the USA, Canada and United Kingdom should be able to call (all numbers are cell numbers). If you’d like to participate from another country, please email support@scrappi.ai

  • This pilot uses an Integrated Coaching Competency Framework (ICCF) which is comprised of the core of several well-known and respected frameworks, such as ICF, GROW, and others. Future iterations will include a choice of additional popular frameworks, as well as a custom solution option.

  • Currently, if you engage professionally with the assistants (e.g., no random Packers game chat! 😉), the assistants respond reliably about 90% of the time (less so if a lifeline is called). As AI advances, this reliability will increase quickly!

  • The feedback in this pilot isn’t fully refined yet. In the final version, all feedback will be co-designed & reviewed by an MCC-certified coach to ensure top quality.

  • Each client persona has its own unique challenges and interaction style, providing diverse coaching dynamics to help you adapt your skills across situations.escription

  • Yes, absolutely! Feel free to select any persona and coach them as often as you’d like to deepen your practice.

  • Our vision is to provide many different personas, so coaches can choose the ones most relevant to their real-life client interactions. Practicing with varied client types enhances your adaptability as a coach.

  • If an assistant takes on the wrong role or misunderstands, gently remind it of the correct role. For example, say, “Stay in the role of Mentor Matt,” or correct Fran if she has incorrect phone info. If you end up with the wrong assistant on the line, say, “Transfer me to [correct assistant].” Speak clearly and treat Max as you would a real client. If issues continue, proceed as best as possible (or hang up before you get frustrated) and note the issue in the bug form located below each Max persona descriptions. Your feedback is crucial for our improvement process.

  • If issues continue, proceed as best as possible (or hang up before you get frustrated) and note the issue in the bug form located below each Max persona description. Your feedback is crucial for our improvement process.

  • Each session can last up to 30 minutes (or the planned session time). For the best experience, make sure you’re in a quiet, distraction-free space.

  • If you spot any issues, fill out the bug form provided below each Max description. There’s also a general comments form for broader feedback and suggestions, which helps us improve the tool for future users.

  • Yes, you can view the Known Issues log near the bug form on this page to see what we’re currently working on.

  • No, each session in the pilot is independent, with no memory from one call to the next. However, you can engage as if you and the client had previously met and discussed/decided things and Max will jump right in.

For example, You (Coach): “Max, did you get a chance to journal last week as we’d discussed?” Max: “Wellll, I journaled Monday, and then got off track…”

  • We recommend setting aside the planned session time in a quiet space. Familiarize yourself with the ICF framework, if needed, and come prepared to fully engage with Max as if coaching a live client.

  • Feedback will only be sent if the session completes to Mentor Matt. Ending the call early may prevent feedback from being generated or delivered.

  • For assistance, email us at support@scrappi.ai. We will try to respond within a few hours.

  • If you don’t receive an expected feedback email, and you’ve gone through the call and received verbal feedback from Mentor Matt, Fran may have gotten your email wrong. If we see an undeliverable email, we’ll try to match it to a similar email if the same email was used to enroll in the pilot. Or you may email support@scrappi.ai for assistance with your feedback.

  • The calls are recorded in order to troubleshoot, as well as tweak feedback when needed. We don’t look at identifiable information—we want you to feel really comfortable talking with Max. But especially since this is an early phase, we want to MAXimize the quality of both interactions and feedback.
